That 'Tree Project' started back in the beginning of 2024, when I met "my tree" for the very first time! Since then, I photograph it regularly! It's all about the connection with it and its rare beauty!

The Perseids season - August 2024! I have never seen more shooting stars for a night than this one - probably over 50 just for 2 hours! Here's the biggest one I spotted and captured! An interesting fact is that we wanted to stay longer, but we were disturbed by wolves howling nearby after 2AM. Yeah, we do everything for great images!

How does the picture work good and the way it was created:
Colours:
The image features vibrant magenta/pink colours that light up the tree and surrounding grass, set against a backdrop of dark blue from the night sky. These colours create a contrast, making the image visually striking.
Pink colour is often associated with creativity, mystery, and vibrancy. It can evoke dreamlike scene feelings. Dark blue - night sky’s rich blue tones offer calmness and depth. The blue contrasts with the magenta, balancing the image with both energy and calm.
This photo uses a complementary colour scheme. This combination enhances the contrast, drawing the viewer’s eye directly to the illuminated tree. The use of such bold and opposing colours can create a sense of drama and intrigue, but in this picture, as I mentioned, those colours create the picture both energetic and easefull.
The pink colour is not randomly chosen. However, it is related to romantic feelings, which perfectly can be associated with the shooting star - symbol of wishes and dreams!
Number of the colours are not by chance, as well! They are 3 - that number symbolizes optimism, enthusiasm, and communication.
Composition:
The tree is centred, attracting with its unique shape and enchanted look. Proportion - sky, hills, foreground - 3:1:1 (ratio splits the picture in 5, in total). Black hills don't distract the eye but help split the tree from the background, and yet they show their characters. Stars, as well. Lining on both sides, help draw the eyes directly on the tree.
Points of interest are used, connected one another. First one - shooting star - object that moves fast and brings joy and magical feeling. Second one - pink ring - dynamic light, creating character for the tree. Colour relation, which I mentioned, connects those different parts in a beautiful way, too.
Different 3 pictures are stacked to create this one. One was shot for the tree. Another one for stars and sky. And one final for the shooting star/meteor.
The meteor in my picture is probably magnesium or a combination of magnesium and sodium.

That 'Tree Project' isn't stopping any time soon, mateys! Today, I got face to face with really thick fog in order to take those pictures. Actually, I am photographing my tree for over 8 months in a row... and I have started to have emotional connection with it, with that natural place... For everyone who loves it just like me, here's the plan for that little project: few more scenes till the end of the fall, winter scenes plus some special and in the first 3 to 4 months in the next year I am going to finish it with 2 or 3 more spring pics. I have found it very not just relaxing but creative-refuelling for me going back on that same place time after time!
If you have any ideas to name the tree, I'd like to read them in the comments below! Have a nice Midd-October, guys! Cheers!

The last day of November was so kind to offer and bring me the first snow of the year (for the region where the Tree is located)! May you have very warm and happy winter holidays!

Last night, while we were photographing my tree in its festive attire together with Dara Tsinzova, I suddenly heard 'Ho, ho, ho'. I was wondering if I am hearing things... Then I pressed the camera button to shoot, looked up, and there he was – Santa Claus flying over us! Coincidence or not, we caught him on camera! I hope he managed to bring presents to all of you! Merry Christmas and happy holidays!
The shot took several days of preparation and a total of over 15 hours of work, with Dara’s help! Without her, I’d probably still be shooting... Once again, thanks to her, we also have a video showing how we decorated the tree.
